Which settings Kenny? Don't most people use batch files or Visual Studio projects? |

no particular settings, the installer starts, then without asking anything, says in a white window entitled "Windows Installer" with large light blue text:
"Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel"

I think a few versions ago we used to let you just install over the top. The trouble was that then you got a line of them in 'Add Remove Programs' - one for each version. If you then chose to uninstall one of them chaos ensued. |

So how do i retain my customisations (ie. what do I need to copy to a "safe place" before uninstalling the existing version?)

I think we may need to look at this. The uninstall seems to delete the authorisation file which it shouldn't and is no good for updates. You can take a copy of this file yourself (ftn95.ser) and apply the update. |

Hi, Not sure if the latest download of V7 (I just downloaded - 7/10/13 4pm UK time) has been updated since the problems reported above but I installed 'over the top' without any error messages (W7/32) and all is so far working fine.
