|
|
Hello,
I have DOS 6.22 and program written in FTN77. But I don't have DBOS.
When I try run FTN77 program in DOS 6.22, error is display: "Salford Software FTN77 DBOS programs require."
So I understand, that my program need DBOS. I can't run (maybe I don't know how ?) my FTN77 program without DBOS.
I can't find in my programs archive DBOS.
I do not have sources and I can not recompile the old program.
Old DOS program is very important for me.
I contact with Salford and Silverfrost support. Without results.
Has anyone a copy DBOS for DOS?
regards,

It may be possible to find a copy of DBOS but, if my memory serves me correctly, you will also need an old operating system to run it.
DBOS was written for 32 bit machines running a 16 bit Windows operating system (was that Windows 95 or 98?). DBOS was a DOS extender that allowed you to run 32 bit applications before Microsoft got around to providing a 32 bit OS (i.e. Windows NT). You will also need to find instructions on how to set DBOS up etc. All of this may be possible but is nolonger supported by Silverfrost. |

I do not have any problems with a copy of the DOS operating system.
I have an old computer with DOS 6.22. Also have a DOS 6.22 virtual machine.
But I do not have a copy of the program DBOS. And this is problem. |
