Does anyone have an old (it couldn't be new could it) copy of the DBOS run-time? We have been contacted by a few users of a FTN77/x86 compiled application and they need a copy of DBOS.

DBOS had been retired when Silverfrost took over FTN95 and so we never had buildable sources.

I have located an old zipfile dating back to 1998 containing among others
dbos.exe and dbos.lib. Is that what you are asking for?

It is certainly a good start. Can you email them to ftn95@silverfrost.com ?

I found an old CD-ROM (original from Salford), labelled "Salford FTN95 Win32, Version 2.50". It contains also a folder "PRODUCTS\DOS" with a setup.exe, but I cannot run this under my 64-bit Windows OS and so I don't know whether DBOS is included there. If you like, I can send the CD to you.

Regards - Wilfried

I have Ver 1.06 FTN95 disks (1997), both Win32 (3 disks) and Windows (4 disks), plus the Salford DBOS run-time master disk. ( 8 x 3.5" disks in all).
I thought I also had Ver 1.01, but can't find the disks. I have a draw full of later versions also, if you might require a revised DBOS from a later date.
Are any of these disks of use in this form ?

John

Ps: I haven't tried to read them as yet !

I think the DBOS run-time master disk is the one we need. Could you try and read that one and send it please?

Robert,

I have emailed the zip file.
02/09/2011 09:55 AM 892,327 Salford_DBOS_Ver3.55.zip

Hopefully it will not be filtered.
If it is, then I can send it via sendthisfile.com

PS: I received an email "Delivery Failure" message. It appears that the email was redirected from ftn95@silverfrost.com and could not be delivered to the @gmail account. You can send me an email or pm to clarify what is happening. It may be better to send via sendthisfile.com if you did not receive the email.

Hi John

We did get your zip thank you. The failure is because our ISP copies everything to another (gmail) account
