I installed version 5.20 the other night and on running Visual Studio, it informed me that this application was not integrated with VS.

I de-installed VS & FTN95, version 5.20 and 5.10, re-installed Visual Studio 2005 and tried version 5.20 again - same error. By 1:20 in the morning I was back to 5.10

Can you provide a little more detail please? When you say 'it informed me that this application was not integrated with VS' - could you please let me know the exact error message?

Was the box ticked during the installation process for integration? Does the installer report that it is integrating with Visual Studio (towards the end of the process and it usually takes a very long time)? Is FTN95 visible in the Help/About of VS?

I have two recommendations here. Firstly, I would check that you dont have a corrupt download of FTN95 by re-downloading. Secondly, ensure your Visual Studio is up to date, SP1 was released in June 2007 and the version of the plugin distributed with 5.20 was built with a SP1 version of Visual Studio 2005. The service pack is available from:

I've just installed version 5.30, and it will not integrate with Visual Studio 2005. The check box options for VS 2005 & 2008 are greyed out.

The installation is on Vista and the above Microsoft updates have been installed.
