I have recently 'dabbled' with Windows 8 evaluation build 8400 and am pleased to report that I experienced no problems in either running programs created on a Windows 7 machine (a whole batch of them), or in compiling / linking programs. I should emphasize that this was just a cursory set of tests but things look +ve.
[Sigh of relief from Paul and the support team?!]

Have you tried .NET applications as well?
We have experienced huge problems with FTN95 .NET dlls on Win8 - all of them cause an exception and are working on all other OS (Win7, XP, Vista) without any problems.
Also building .NET applications on Win8 is not working.

Sorry no - I have simply dabbled with 'basic' code and still have experienced no problems - I see that you have now created a new topic for these problems.
All the best, Bill |
