Will exes compiled under XP run in Vista?

A user has been using an earlier version of Plato/FTN95 (4.6) on an XP system. If he moves to a Vista system, will he need to recompile/link his Fortran source code, or will the existing exe files work on Vista. Obviously he will upgrade to the latest Plato/FTN95, but will earlier exes run under Vista?

I would fully expect old executables to run under Vista. As always there is only one way to be sure.
