Dynamically resetting the limits for %il (and %fl ?)

Am I correct in understanding that once the limits are set, they don't change, even if one alters the relevant variable(s)? I have worked around this by doing the limits manually in a callback function, but it would be nice to have my experience confirmed. I couldn't find anything relevant in the help file.

For example,

N1=1 N2=5 IA=WINIO@('%il%rd%`il&', N1,N2, N3)

...

N2 = 9 ...

then N3 is still limited to a maximum of 5.

I've tried CALL WINDOW_UPDATE@ with parameters N3 and N2.

Yes you are correct. The limits are passed as values rather than as references.
