New Forums

The system that these forums run on is very old. Message at the bottom says 'Copyright 2005.'. As Fortran attests, age is not necessarily a problem, but these forums have occasionally been exploited by hackers in ways we do not understand.

We have written a new forum system, and if you'd like to give it a go and make suggestions and comments, you can do so at this URL: http://ftn95forums.runasp.net/

It contains all the data from this forum system. It contains accounts for everyone who has an account on this current system and to be able to post on the new system, you will need to set a password, which you can do by using the forgot password mechanism.

The old forum is https: but the new one shows as http:/ and Edge states it as not secure accordingly.

The http is deliberate and is only while it is a test site. It will replace the https:// site when fully live.

The old forum with the 'Back to Top' link was very useful when navigating a long thread OR when trying to get back to the Topics section. I use that a lot

The forum posts seem 'bigger'. Choice of font and size, perhaps? Maybe it's just because it is different.

The new forum displayed formats are appealing.

I'll do some more perusing and get my login set up!
