In addition to answering your question, the incorrectly spelled word 'preceed' needs to be replaced.
i copied the message from the feedback dialogue so i guess silverfrost needs to update the text

Hi Guys
I managed to sort out the issue. Th %mi was actually being called twice for the same window. once i deleted the second call the app worked as expected
the clearwin feedback messages may need to be revised to handle this situation
regards
steve
Everybody probably knows this already, but %mi has a side effect, and that is that the icon serves as a pathway into maximising the window, especially from the taskbar when the window is minimised. Hence no a good idea to include it for any dialogs, or for a fixed-size window.
HI Thanks for the heads up. I was unaware of this side effect. i will explore my dialogs and see what the effects are

Steve, did you see what I mean?
Paul, I notice that a variety of applications (examples Microsoft Solitaire & games, Google Chrome) are minimisable, but don't display a minimise icon on their main window. I hink that in the original, early, versions of Windows, the minimise, maximise etc actions were in the drop-down menu from the application icon on the task bar. It was a later development to put the icons on the RHS of the caption bar, although that is now the norm.
My suggestion is to have a variant of %mi such that the icon is put on the task bar when the application main window is minimised, but not displayed on the application caption bar.
I have fixed the spelling mistake and made a note about the %mi suggestion.
