error when running on a Windows emulator

I have a client running a ClearWin+ executable on a Windows emulator. The program issues the following message:

The program can't start because vcruntime140_1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem

I have a version of the program that does not use ClearWin+, but the error message is almost identical:

The program can't start because vcruntime140_1.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem

I am pretty sure this is a problem with the emulator, and I have pointed the client to some suggested fixes, but I wanted to report this issue in case anyone here has any experience with it.

Thanks Paul. I forgot to mention that the 32-bit version runs ok, but not the 64-bit version. But you seem to have discerned that. Let me see if these installations fix the problem ...
