Note:: When I set the display size for Win11 and then start sbdg to debug a program, the display size goes back to the smallest size. When I start sdbg to debug a program, minimize the screen, set the display size in Win11, expand the screen, the display size remains at the latest setting?? Please explain. Sid Kraft
Kudos for using debugger, Sid. Only utter losers don't use SDBG. The only they deserve is to decrease their salaries until they start using it. Because they just do not work efficiently. SDBG is ultimatelty easy to use and it finds you most of errors literally in seconds.

On face value I don't think there is an explanation. There won't be anything within SDBG that sets the desktop 'Display settings' such as the 'Display resolution'.
Maybe you mean something else. Are you able to provide a video of what happens?

To Further define the situation, as you all are aware, in Windows, when one 'right clicks' on the work screen and sets the display size in the environment displayed, can increase the display size that is presented for all elements on the work area. As in the first message, setting and then executing the sdbg, the displayed size reverts back to the standard, too small to read. However, executing sdbg then minimizing the window, changing the display size, then maximizing the window, the display size within sdbg now does not revert back to the smaller size. Hope that this helps. I know that there is not a way to increase the displayed characters in sdbg and that is why I tried to set outside, within the Windows environment. Sid kraft

When running SDBG64 (or SDBG) you can set the font size by selecting 'Set Font...' from the main 'Tools' menu. This will be remembered by the debugger when next you run it.
I don't understand how this can possibly affect your display settings.
I assume that you are running SDBG64 as a separate application rather than using the 'Integrated' option within Plato, but the same principle applies when using Plato/SDBG64 as an integrated debugger where Plato has its own settings for the user font size.

Note: Can set the font size during debugging using sdbg, is it also available during normal execution? Tried to set font size with tools, does not show during execution using Plato?? Sid Kraft

Do you want to set the font size for the output from a Fortran WRITE statement?
No, just expand display size for using Plato to review files, Sid

The font size for Plato is set from the main Tools menu by selecting Settings, then Environment, and then Font and Colours. The Size is in the top right corner of the dialog.
Don't forget to click on the OK button.
