Making property sheet tabs stand out

5 May 2020 1:27 #25329

I love using property sheets. Being able to display lots of data in an ordered manner is great.

I would like to make the tabs stand out from each other, by color and/or shape. Some property sheets I've seen in other applications look more like the tabs on manila folders in a filing cabinet, with distinct edges.

I would suspect that using a manifest might be able to give me this, but information on how to actually use a manifest is lacking, as is my understanding of them.

Am I on the right track for distinctive tabs using property sheets?

A manifest will only make a difference when using a Microsoft tabcontrol rather than the native ClearWin+ tabcontrol. For a Microsoft tab control use the option ms_style or an option such as hot_track or tooltips that implies ms_style.

Yes, without property sheet modern programs, or essentially any large programs are unhandleable

Have you tried 'hot_track' ?
i = winio@('%^`12ps[hot_track]&',ish1,ish2,ish3,ish11,ish4,ish40, ish5,ish6,ish7,ish8,ish9, ish10, initTab_Settings3, cb_updateSh3)

Paul and Dan,

I currently use ms_style and hot_track. The difference in color/shading for hot_track is a bit small for visual perception (maybe my old tired eyes!).

Oh, well. Worth a shot!
