Noticed in the announcements that Silverfrost latest version available. Want to download and update but just in case, see what version I currently have on this computer. Any ideas on where to look? Response will be appreciated, Sid Kraft
FTN95
The command
ftn95 /v
will output details regarding the compiler and the platform. If the compiler is not in the default path, you can type the full path as a prefix to 'ftn95'.
See https://www.silverfrost.com/ftn95-help/options/idh_properties_options.aspx . The /Version option is near the lower end of the page.
John-Silver,
for ftn95 you might use option /? do get online help. I usually filter it with more to get rid of the colors which I cannot read very well 😉 . E.g.
ftn95 /? | more
Regards, Dietmar
Whenever I install a newer version of FTN95 I enter the option /NOCOLOUR in the options file ftn95.cfg, since the color scheme used by FTN95 clashes with my choice of colours for the command window (black on gray background).
Just
ftn95
Will display the version number
These colours can be configured by using the environment variable SALFORD_COLOUR. See ftn95.chm under FTN95 > Program development > Salford environment variables.
