Dear Silverfrost
If I understand correctly, there exists a Simpleplot Plus that has additional symbols, character sets, etc. How do I get the Plus edition?

I have not heard of SimplePlot Plus. However, you can get more from SimplePlot than is available in ClearWin+. Detailed documentation is available at http://www.silverfrost.com/23/ftn95/support/documentation.aspx

I did send a message but I am not sure it got to you.
Please see this statement in the Simplot ref manual page 174
Individual Hershey symbols can also be selected by MKTYPE greater than 16. The Hershey symbols are only available with Simpleplot-Plus.

It is just possible that SimplePlot Plus was absorbed into the existing SimplePlot DLL after the documentation was written. Otherwise there is nothing we can do - this is all we have.
You can draw Hershey characters using ClearWin+. It was available under DBOS and was ported to Windows (NT initially).
Here is a rough guide to DRAW_HERSHEY@
SUBROUTINE DRAW_HERSHEY@(ch,h,v,col,h_end,v_end) INTEGER*2 ch,h,v,col,h_end,v_end
ch is the character number h.v is the position that you supply col is the colour (probably VGA or RGB depending on your colour mode) h_end and v_end are returned as the position for the next character.
Simpleplot was (and still is) a library of Fotran subroutines for plotting a wide variety of graphs. Consisted of several modules enumerated as 1,2 and 4 for simple 2D and 3D plots , module 5 for perspective pictures, module 6 for maps drawing and 7 for Visualisation plots. Simpleplot + referred to a SimplePlot library which was made up from sections 1,2,4 and +, the plus indicating just the fact that the library provided 'extra' plotting facilities (for instance waterfall charts, text attributes, pen controls, etc.). The SimplePlot library that comes with the current FTN95 compiler provides all the subroutines, from 2D,3D, Visualisation plots to Maps. You can consult the help file FSimpleplot.chm that is located in http://www.silverfrost.com/23/ftn95/support/documentation.aspx. Fonts are probably the weak side of Simpleplot today, but it provides a 'simple' and fast way to produce graphs from FTN95.....
Hope this helps....
