DOWNLOAD@ - any way to set a timeout?

I'm trying to use DOWNLOAD@ to read a small (<12bytes) text file on a website but some clients are finding that it can take up to 2 minutes to return a value if they are on a slow connection. Is there any way to set a 'timeout' so that it will return an error after say 20s?
