Trying to compile a file, I receive a message

Trying to compile a file, I receive a message : Cannot open authorisation file. What to do with this ?

I am not in my office at the moment so I am not sure about this. However, if this is you first run of the compiler then you will need a licence unless you are using the Personal Edition of FTN95.

So this is the Personal Edition of FTN95, how to get a license ?, after all the Personal Edition of FTN95 unlike FTN95 Express is free.

You should be able to compile with the Personal Edition which is free. Try downloading the Personal Edition again from the internet.

Do I download a new version?, He gave the banner at the beginning that this is a non-commercial version

You do get a banner with the Personal Edition. To avoid the banner you must pay for a licence by contacting Silverfrost or some other vendor. Look at the Silverfrost website for further information.

I have downloaded the Personal Edition again, and trying to compile a file, I still receive a message : Output Compiling and linking file: Module programming.f90 - Cannot open authorisation file h:\f_world\kompilatory jzyka fortran 95\salford ftn95\ftn77.ser System error (2): Nie mona odnale okrelonego pliku. What to do with this ?

Use the link at http://www.silverfrost.com/32/ftn95/ftn95_personal_edition.aspx

to download the personal edition of FTN95 and then use the default installation instructions.

Personal edition of FTN95 was previously downloaded from this site and now after uninstalling and reinstalling with the default parameters gives the same error message

I have just done the download etc. to check and its works OK for me.

You should be running ftn95.exe from the folder used for installation. Open Explorer and check the properties of ftn95.exe. The version number should be 6.3.0.0. If it is the Personal edition then it should not need an authorisation file.

I have two screan-shots with properties :

Właściwości: ftn95_personal

Ogólne Wersja Zgodność Archiwum Podsumowanie Wersja pliku: 4.42.0.0 Opis: 7z Setup SFX Prawa autorskie: Copyright (c) 1999-2006 Igor Pavlov

Właściwości: ftn95

Ogólne Wersja Zgodność Wersja pliku: 6.2.0.0 Opis: Salford Fortran 95 Compiler Prawa autorskie: Copyright (C) Silverfrost 1993-2011|

It is apparent, that is version 6.2.0.0

Can you open a command (DOS) window and type the following to get the version number?

ftn95 /version

Version 6.3.0 Personal Edition has only been available for download for a few days, so if you want this new version you may have to download again.

I would uninstall, and install version 6.3.0 and see if then works for you.

I have opened FTN95 Command Prompt, and I have received : Version : 6.20.0 Built : Mon Dec 19 00:34:27 2011

You still need to find a way to download the personal edition of FTN95 version 6.3.0.0 via the link on the Silverfrost website.
