Visual Web Developer etc

There seems to be a confusing pproliferation of Visual Studio products now available from Microsoft, some free, some not, some supporting just one language and some supporting several.

Is it possible to use F95 with Visual Web Developer 2010 Express or with Visual Basic 2010 Express ? The FTN95 Express seems to install as a stand-alone product (though presumably within the same overall Visual Studio environment).

FTN95 will only work with paid-for, non express, versions of Visual Studio 2010. Microsoft specifically forbid plug-ins of this nature in their Express products. I suppose it helps them to differentiate their full versions.

Thanks, Robert. That's a pain. I want to try a 'proof-of-concept' development without first having to buy a full VS system. Silverfrost makes it possible with the FTN95, but it seems Microsoft don't want to help.

I have always been frustrated by the visual studio policies especially when I am simply looking for a way to edit videos from a video converter. Do you guys know of any good alternatives or methods I could employ moving forward. There has to be something better out there right?
