Floating point error

20 Sep 2010 3:50 #6977

I am using the Salford FTN95 compiler (Version 5.1.2600.5512) with Winteracter. I have recently updated a program which runs perfectly on all the machines I have used it on that run Windows XP. However, when I tried to run it on a machine running Windows 7 64 bit I get a Salford floating point error flagged when the graphics routines are called. Another program using similar graphics calls runs perfectly on all machines. I am using the updated salflibc.dll supplied with Winteracter and have never had any previous problems. The original version of the problem program used ClearWin+ for the graphics and it runs fine on the Windows 7 64 bit machine and the file containing the data used to produce the graphics is identical. Do I need to upgrade my Fortran to get over this problem or what is likely to have caused the problem??

I think updating to the latest compiler will fix your problem. There are 64-bit specific problems fix at 5.50. You can download and try the personal edition to verify it solves your problem.
