|
|
I am facing a big problem with FTN95 Ver5.10, I cannot build any code with it. There is always a error message "Salford run-time library. Stack Overflow: Re-link program with bigger stack value. (stack.reserve,commit). Will attempt to trace back." I tried to reinstall FTN95, even with earlier version Ver5.01 and I am sure there is only one SALFLIBC.DLL in my PC.
And for my sdbg, I got "_initialise_storage_allocator@0" and " _initialise_cpplib" Access violation
Please advise ASAP, since it is urgent for me. Thanks a million |

I have not seen anything like this before.
You are right, it appears to be a salflibc.dll problem.
Are you saying that even a two line "Hello World" program fails to run?
Can you try the same FTN95 download on a different machine? |

I searched "Salford" in my registry and delete its keys, still cannot solve the problem
I tried the same installer on another fresh installed XP, that works. |

Paul,
Maybe I did not make myself clear enough, I could still run the built executables, but I cannot compile. The error message comes out when compiling. |

I cannot think of a way forward on this one.
Repairing the operating system might be worth a try but its a long shot. |

Try checking for multiple copies of Salflibc.dll Odd things happen if you mix an FTN95 and a Salflibc. So, check that you only have one copy of salflibc.dll and that the FTN95.exe has approximately the same date stamp. |
