I've been using the above in my rsc file to get a windows xp feel, as advised in this forum a year or so ago.

I can't discover what the numbers mean, and a limited range of trials suggest that obvious variations (0 or 2 for the 1, 23 or 25 instead of 24) in the parameters are not permissible combinations.

Is there anyone out there with the answer?

Eddie

You cannot vary these values.

The 1 is the resource identifier and the manifest must be the first resource (this is a Microsoft requirement).

The 24 is the value of RT_MANIFEST, a Microsoft resource type.

ClearWin+ (or is it SLINK, I do not remember) will provide a default manifest if necessary.

Thanks Paul. I couldn't find the info anywhere. Reading about manifest(s) on MSDN is impossible.
