Since this would be a non-commercial usage of the software, it wouldn't breach the license agreement would it?
I couldn't find the registration fee for FTN95, could you provide the link?
Also, what has happened to the older DOS version of FTN77? Is there any way one can purchase it?

You can use FTN77 to release freeware although it must be credited somewhere in the product. Clearly any commercial use would be a breach of the licence.
Could you explain 'registration fee'?
The old DOS (DBOS) version of FTN77 is no longer available.
