For some years I use the FTN 77 compiler under Windows 2000. But I still have DOS applications (small pc systems for measuring geophysical data) and use the DOS compiler version 3.55 which is still a diskette version. Unfortunately this version doesn't support serial communication. So I tried to install the DOS version 4.02 from the Salford CD on my DOS pc. But I got the error message that this is only possible under Windows, which I have not available on my small pcs. Can somebody help me with that problem? Is there a diskette version of 4.02 somewehre available?

Before the Win32 version of FTN77 there was a DBOS version that could be run under Windows 98.

It is nolonger supported but you may be able to get a copy of the DBOS environment from Silverfrost.
