Ken,
Searching for the possible bug why i can not read files generated by other compilers with access='STREAM' i found similar suspicious place. Just checked : Intel compiler complained that this is an error though i doubt this was the reason of my problem

Yes the compiler should complain about the comma at the end of the WRITE statement.

This has now been fixed for the next release of FTN95.
