The following code is used to display a file name loaded into a program
at the bottom on an input window. The horizontal scroll bar disappears when trying to use it and never reappears.
i=WINIO@('%ff%ob[status,shaded]%80eb'//
+ '[read_only,hscrollbar,no_border]%cb',StatusLine,207) |

This code works OK for me so maybe you need the latest DLLs.
Are you using FTN95 v8.70? |

This issue is a bit strange. I use this same graphical control at least 50 times in my input program for other file inputs. In other input windows if you try to scroll with a null input (ACHAR(0)) the scroll bar disappears; however, when you input a file name it reappears and is operable. These specific controls have been working for 25 years. Thanks. |

I think that you may have the same DLLs as me.
Do you get the failure with the code that you have posted above and what is the size of the character variable? |

Paul,
I have been fooling around with the width of the edit box with regard to other graphical controls on the window and that seems to fix the issue. I have had a similar issue with width of drop down list boxes with the current DLL. I have also had to change the width of several drop down list boxes. I will keep experimenting. Thanks.

Paul,
With the font I am using the horizontal slide works properly with a maximum width of 75: %75eb.
