We have the GINO libraries built under FTN95 4.5 using the /clr switch to create our .NET implementation. This has worked sucessfully under .NET Studio 2003, but a user has move to VS 2005 and come across a problem.
The warning message says "ftn95lib.mdl is attempting managed execution inside OS Loader lock".
As you see this is a nice friendly message that tells you exactly what is wrong and what to do about it!
Have you any ideas?

At the moment VS 2005 is not supported (i.e. our plug-in for VS 2005 has not yet been released).
I suspect that the only solution is to revert to 2003 for the time being.
Regards

Paul,
Thanks for your reply. Have you got a predicted date for the release of your VS2005 plugin?

The issue is not simply the Visual Studio 2005 plugin, but the fact that the assembly is being run against 2.0 of the .NET framework. At present everything produced with FTN95 builds (and was tested) against 1.1. We are working on version 2.0 compatibility and a plugin for Visual Studio 2005. We are working on this but it is a little difficult, at present, to give a predicted date. We will make an announcement here as soon as things are ready. |
