A new video is available on Youtube. It describes the second phase in the development of the design mode that is called "Visual ClearWin+".

In Visual ClearWin+ you can add text, images and controls at design time. You can move these around, resize them, and change their properties, all at design time. All of this can make it much quicker to create simple dialogs by reducing the learning curve and by providing a direct way to position and resize the components.

Here is a link to the video...

Well done for keeping the momentum going at Salford-Wood Paul Smile

One suggestion.
The one thing I see as wanting is that at the end of using the visual capabilities one is left with part code part resource file 'jumble'.

It would be great if the user could request the output of a fFULL fortran code of what he has !
i.e. turning the resource file into the appropriate wino's etc... in the apprpriste places.

Tha taìway you appeal not only to newbies bi'ut also the more xperienced users too.
Productivity for everyone being the goal.

Keep up the good work !

John

Converting the resource to Fortran code would be non-trivial. In any case the Fortran would be quite verbose because every control needs an absolute position and size.

The current development is not finished. After that your suggestion could be considered. Maybe it's just a case of my not explaining it well. The idea of including the rcx file in the resource script is actually not that complicated. Providing a few working samples might do the trick.
