|

Good morning, everyone,
is there a way to automatically copy the salflibc and clearwin DLLs to the path where the executable is created?
(As is possible for DLLs added as references.) |

Your FTN95 installation put the DLLs in the right place to be accessed from anywhere on your computer, and set the PATH variable accordingly.
If you want to install your EXE and the relevant DLLs on different computers, then you need an installer program, of the sort that runs 'Set up'. I use the free installer from Jordan Russell software ( http://www.jrsoftware.org/isdl.php ) which bundles up the DLLs and the EXE in a single file - which is zipped to save space) and can be set to make appropriate registry entries, put icons on the desktop and start menu, create directories etc.
At some stage you may also need other software to create icons, help files, etc etc. FTN95 is a terrific system, but it isn't a one-stop-shop.

... or an old-fashioned batch file. A batch file won't do all the Windows stuff, icons, registry etc, but then you may not care for that. |
