There is an error in the documentation. TRIM@ does remove leading spaces but the correct alternative is ADJUSTL. But note that TRIM@ is a subroutine whilst ADJUSTL is a function.

I can pass on your request.

Fortran character variables have a fixed length and are automatically padded with trailing spaces so removing leading spaces has the effect of moving them to the end.

I think that several more topics added to the repertoire of the forum would be a great idea, so not just 'Documentation'. What about '64 bit options and issues' or 'requests for help from novices'?
