After 25 years away from programming in FORTRAN I'm interested in regaining some proficiency. Your application, i.e., ftn95env.exe dated 10/24/2009 has been loaded and I'm using the tutorial authored by Janet Nicholson in 2011.

The toolbar in the tutorial does not match the toolbar while running ftn95env.exe and the sample code appears to compile without error but the programs will not execute.

AM I USING THE CORRECT TUTORIAL AND COMPILER VERSIONS?

Did you download FTN95 from the Internet and if so which version?
I don't recognise ftn95env.exe but perhaps you mean ftn95env.bat which will probably be a batch file for setting environment variables from a command line.

Instead you should look for the Plato IDE or perhaps use Visual Studio. Either of these will get you started. Open the editor and use the toolbar buttons to compile your program etc.

Hey Paul,

Good tips, I think things are working like they should.

Regards,

Jack
