Hello Folks,
I'm failry new to computer programming and am trying to produce a program that will be portable to other computers. I am using Plato3 to edit and compile my fortran projects to executable files but am having problems getting them to run on other machines.
When I try to run the executable files on machines that don't have FTN95 installed I get an error message telling me that the salflibc.dll file could not be found. Surely the executabe file should work on any machine or am I missing something?
Is there any way to include the parts of the salflibc.dll file that my program needs so that I can give my research supervisor one executable file?
Thanks for any advice you can give,
Bren |

Hi Bren,
You must distribute salflibc.dll along with any executable you generate using FTN95.
There may be third party software which would allow you to get around this by embedding the DLL in your executable, but I don't know of any off hand.
