Hi,

I downloaded and installed ftn95 on my windows 7 computer successfully, however, I do not see an icon to start it and when I go to the start button ftn95.exe it flickers and disappear on the desktop. What is the problem? How to fix it?

FTN95.exe is a command line compiler that is run from a Command Prompt window. Many users access it from Plato or Visual Studio (with the FTN95 plug-in). Both of these IDEs provide a user-friendly interface.

After installing FTN95 Personal, you will have a Silverfrost folder in your Start Menu. Here is how mine looks (on Windows 8.1).

If you click on the FTN95 Command Prompt entry, you will be inside a command window that is set up for building at the command line with FTN95.
