Hey Guys,

Was excited to read that the new version has W8 support as I got quite worried when I realised that my application crashed on my new machine.

However something that intrigues me is that the compiler now supports .NET 4.5, does this mean the plugin has been upgraded to support VS2012?

I ask this because you cannot even open a .NET 4.5 project in VS2010 and this is causing some issues with my development environment where I can not have any .NET 4.5 projects in the same solution as my FORTRAN projects if I want to be able to debug them using VS2010.

Anyway I am planning to purchase the latest update soon, but for now I am wondering if the support for .NET 4.5 implies support for VS2012?

Thanks,
Alex.

No, the plug-in hasn't been updated for VS2012, something we are still working on. We decided to put out a release that supported Windows 8 under .NET because customers were having specific issues with it and we considered it a priority. .NET 4.5, in theory over .NET 4 and so in theory any code that runs on .NET 4 should also run on .NET 4.5 on the same machine and O/S combination. It isn't quite true though and FTN95 6.35 addresses these issues.
