Hi Paul

Several projects that I use have several files, i.e. the source files displayed in the Plato project manager. My experience is that Plato tends to slow down and in some cases even hang as soon as the number of project files exceeds 15 to 20 files.

Typical examples are the numerical recipes in FORTRAN and finite element source code. An example of a FORTRAN application that Plato cannot handle is FEAP.

Is the number of files that Plato can handle limited? One possible way is to merge all the files in a single file - this is however not always successful. Is there perhaps other ideas to avoid this behavior of Plato.

Jacques

It is possible that the dependency checking is using up the time.
Try switching it off to see if this helps.
There is nothing in Plato to limit the number of files.
