John,

The idea of an MDI is intriguing, and this may actually be better than what I currently have working. Time will tell!

I tried the %sh and %ww both (slightly different examples in the help file and differences in control variables and handles), but essentially the same results.

So, as time permits, I'll look at the MDI to see if that is a better solution. I'll take a gander at your posting to see how that might work!

Thanks for taking the time with this!
Bill

Congrats, John, for taking this milestone with Clearwin+. How much swearing this took for you? Over the 2 decades of lifetime of similar design I probably spent a month for doing and redoing it learning also best English expressions. Additionally when I started Clearwin+ and FTN95 just appeared and were not very stable

LOL .... at the end of the day (once you've found the solution) it's easy as it's always a question of the logic of nesting various actions which are usually pinned down via the usual hi-tech try-it-n-see techniques Wink

My lingual skills acquired over the years (french, spanish and italian as well as the native english ) give me plenty of ammunition for the cursing, 'va fan culo' for example being an obviosly staple utility, or 'merde' , in english the highly blasphemous ... 'oh deary me what do I appear to have done wrong here then ?' Smile , and the tried and trusted spanish Madrileno 3 'c' s .... adapted to 4 'c' s for completeness ..... Cerveza (to kick start the process) - (Cono - Cabron) x n where n = a lot - Cerveza (celebratory) comes in very handy Wink

... but I'm just learning still
