The interessting thread on runtime performance reminded me of a very useful finite element source. The book by Silvester and Ferrari (Finite Elements for Electrical Engineers) always comes to the fore when one has to do with FEM and machines. The complete source can be downloaded from the publisher website, i.e. Fortran source.

Adding some ClearWin+ to the good old Fortran source, one has a nice companion working through the examples in the book - and that with the minmum effort to add al programs in a single one!
