Andrew and Paul

You said last year that SCC C++ was only provided as a freebie and that it was not maintained. We have been using SCC and MS VC++ and to be frank SCC (with Clearwin) is streets ahead in every respect. The only downside is that the latest C++ features viz

Class handles eg Myclass ^handl
ref classes eg ref Myclass
function gcnew

do not seem to be available in SCC. When was the last version of SCC produced and if the above are not included is there a workaround?

Thanks

Martin

There is no automatic garbage collection in SCC (gcnew).
I am not so sure about the others but there have been no changes to SCC since October 2006 and I guess there will be work-arounds (i.e. you will be able to do the same thing in a different way).

The current version is 3.65.
