Hi all

I would like to use a net book to run some simple programs. The basic program window size is greater than the screen size however. Is is possible to make tha main window scroll or must I scale everything down to fit the available space?.

Thanks in advance

I am not sure what you are looking for but when using ClearWin+ you can present text using %eb or %re or %cw. All of these have scroll bars. There is also %tx.

Smib,

You can do either - it's up to you. I found that the very small screen netbooks were too small to do anything useful, but by the time you get to 1024x600 it wasn't all that much different to 1024x768, and you could do useful things without scrolling (and it is a screen option whether or not to go for a bigger virtual screen or stay with the physical screen).

Netbooks have a widescreen format, and you may prefer your toolbar icons down the side to along the top. I found it useful to restrict toolbars to the first 800 pixels wide including the window border, as this then works even with the small netbook screen (800x480 I think).
