The following code gives the spurious compile warning: 'Variable I has been used without being given an initial value'.

PROGRAM BUG01

COMMON /A/ J
COMMON /B/ K(1)
EQUIVALENCE (I,J)
 
J = 5; WRITE (*,*) I

WRITE (*,*) "Press any key to continue."; READ *

END
