I have a user of my FTN95 application who gets the following error message at start up:-
Unable to allocate 680500644(bytes) of
virtual common memory at address 0x20000000.
Last error is 487.Fatal run-time error.
His machine is running XP 32bit with 2GB of ram and 1.5 GB paging file.
I cannot replicate the problem myself. I found a machine with a mere 368MB of ram and 0.5GB page file, which had no problem firing up this application. I tried using older versions of Salflibc.dll, but everytime the app fired up perfectly!!!
I'm pulling my hair out, any suggestions or ideas would be most welcome! |

John,
Is it possible that your user has insufficient space on his hard disk, or some related disk problem other than a memory (RAM) problem?
