Hi, according to the Clearwin manual, the grave accent modifies %wx to give uppercase output:

i = 100
j = winio@('%ca[HEX output]%sy[3d_thin]%fn[MS SANS SERIF]%ts%ff%`wx',.9D0,i)

Starting this I get a runtime error "Unexpected use of character `in WX format".

Can anyone help me?

Regards,
Wilfried

Hi,

Don't use the grave accent. That is only useful when formats such as %rs %rd %rf are used to make them un alterable by the user. If you need to alter the displayed value, in hex, then write the value to a character string with typical format z8.8 and output it to a %`rs control.

Regards

Ian

OK, Ian, that's an option, thanks.
