Running FTN95 program in VS 2008, Debug Win32 mode, when I hit an error or a break point, I cannot figure out how to "abort" the exe file or close the DOS window that is created. The result is that, after editing the program and compiling it, it will not link because the previous exe file is still open. I have to close and reopen VS to continue working.
I must be missing something. Could not find any obvious switches to set. I don't recall this happening before I switched to Windows 7 (64bit), but would not swear to that.

If you can see the DOS window, is it not possible, as a last resort, to click on the Close X in the top right corner of the window? |

You should be able to press the stop debugging button (a black or red square). It (or the entire toolbar) can get hidden. You might like to check you have the debugging toolbar visible when executing. Also Shift+F5 performs a stop. |
