|

Dr. Kruck provided an example program which causes FTN95 v4.80 to crash (Error 110: "unformatted record is corrupt"):
program crash
integer i, ns, lu3
character*16 cfield(32800)
cfield = 'abcdefghijklmnop'
ns = 32767 ! change this to 32766 or lower, and no crash occurs when reading the file
lu3 = 33
open (lu3, form= 'unformatted', status= 'scratch')
rewind (lu3)
write (lu3) ns, (cfield(i), i=1, ns)
rewind (lu3)
read (lu3) ns, (cfield(i), i=1, ns) ! if ns = 32767 -> Error 110: "unformatted record is corrupt"
close (lu3)
end |

Joerg
Thank you for this.
A temporary work-around is to output an extra item or to run in .NET mode (/CLR).
Regards
Paul

Joerg
This bug has now been fixed and the fix will be available in the next release.
With best wishes
