How can I change the bubble help strings "on the fly" i.e. when I want to change the language of my software? (For the menus it is possible using the enhanced menus).

I do not have access to the help file at the moment but if you cannot find the information under %th then look under %di. |

under %th help is the following:-
Quote: | The option [ms_style] provides for a Microsoft style tooltip. It also allows you to change the tooltip text at run-time using the routine set_tooltip_text@ (see Note 10 on %di). |

... and set_tooltip_text@ needs (hwnd, text). This means getting the handle for each control that has tooltip help. %lc is suggested. I can't help but feel that this is long-winded if ALL the tooltip help strings are required in a different language.
Isn't it better to establish the language first, then when generating the tooltip help strings, call them up in the correct language? (i.e. when generating the window?) Or do you want to change the language on the fly?

Thanks to everyone who gives help to me. It is now working fine and fast.
By the way, %di can't be found in the online help in the list of all CleraWin+ format codes!?

%di comes under the heading "Using Dialog Resources". I am aiming to find a way for the search mechanism to detect the format codes. |
