If DBOS gives any of the following error messages it is likely that you don't have DBOS installed correctly.
DBOS Cannot run in a virtual machine - WDBOS.386 is probably not loaded. Check your installation.
Out of memory: increase the size of the page file - Try re-creating your page file using CONFIGDB
Certain software/hardware configurations may require additional settings when using DBOS, many of these can be fixed by making sure you have the latest version of DBOS installed.
Novell Netware - Older Novell Netware installations cause various problems when using DBOS, so if you intend to run the two concurrently make sure you have the latest patches from Novell.
Windows - Make sure you have the WDBOS.386 device driver installed.
Windows NT - DBOS will not run under Windows NT, we have separate Win32 versions of the compilers that will run under NT.
SMARTDRV - If you experience problems, make sure you have DBOS v2.67 or later.
Toshiba Laptops - Make sure you have WDBOS.386 v4.16 or later. (v4.16 was shipped with v3.62 of DBOS).
DESQView 2.30 and Above - Invoke DESQView with the command DV /FB=50 /SB=58 /XB=78
Bus Mice - If you experience General Protection Exception message while running DBOS, make sure you have DBOS v2.69 or use the DBOS option /SHIFT_INTERRUPTS |
