I don't normally use named DO/ENDO, or named IF/ENDIF, but I have observed that when this valid construction is used, the Plato algorithim for matching DO/ENDODO and IF/ENDIF fails.
Here is a simple example which shows the issue.

Ken,
Good that you reported the issue, but aside of that if you'd use greatest ever Kate editor you'd not need named DOs or IFs
