In hex, red is 0xff
Green is 0xff00
Blue is 0xff0000

White is all of these 0xffffff.

-1 is 0xffffffff which is white with 0xff000000.

The top ff is used in modern grahics for transparency control (the alpha value).

I guess 0xff000000 means fully opaque but you should check this out.
