Had recently needed to do a Windows "restore" and lost a lot of important stuff in the process - including Silverfrost! I downloaded it again, and put a Plato shortcut back on my desktop PC, then via the "BUILD" button tried re-compiling some old programs to check if all was well. It wasn't! My compilation output, instead of just following on as a "window continuation" of the source window - is now crammed into a tiny "Output" window - over-laying the start of the Plato task bar. In this I can scroll down and see just the first approx 20 characters , 1 line at a time!
I had this same problem yonks ago (after a much earlier "restore") and I think I was recommended to run some Plato initialisation routine to reset things! I didn't take that action but managed to overcome the problem a different way. But am now baffled - can anyone help me please? |

The position, size and docking status for the output window are stored in the registry. If you are happy to edit the registry (using Regedit, right click on the Start icon, select Run and type Regedit) then you can just delete the data for Plato. See HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Salford Software. |
