I was figuring just on running Ryan's code to see how it works out with ftn95, that was all.

I can confirm that with v8.3 beta 169, and your test code you posted above Paul, that the specifying of a menu 'avoids' the previous problem when reducing child windows and the icon bar not being correctly placed.
However all the other strange behaviours with the icon bars etc ... previously identified are still there.
