As of today I've just seen that postimg.org have a problem with their domain registrar (see message below which appears at top of homepage) and that any links to images posted on our forum here won't work anymore.



It's not clear yet if this change of domain will be temporary or permanent.

Note that the existing domain https://postimg.org is still operative but re-directs to the new domain https://postimg.cc where the existing images have also apparently been transferred to (which is good news that they still exist, however the links are broken).

What is sure is that existing images posted on here will be now incorrect and the images won't appear !

Obviously no one is going to immediately go and change all their existing links but when any of mine come up I'll change them on an as needed basis (or at the request of anyone - just PM me)

Note - the change required is simple. The domain has changed from .org to .cc.
The new links (the ones for 'forum posts') take the following form ....

[url=https ://postimages.org/][img]https://s26.postimg.cc/<something here>.jpg[/img][/url]

so note that only the second occurence of .org in existing links needs to be changed to .cc (I think ! not tried it yet)


MAYBE PAUL COULD MOVE THIS POST ONTO THE KBASE Forum Topic and Lock It so it doesn't get lost in the wash ?


*UPDATE * - just checked a couple of my images on posts and they still seem to be ok with the old domain in the links
This could be because the problem is resolved already or simply chance ! Th change might still be necessary for some posted pics.
