I have been having trouble linking a resource file from within Plato, and eventually worked out that SRC mfile.rc /r /BINARY mydir\resource.res is not working. I have confirmed that it does not work from the command prompt either. The resource.res file is created, but it is not being output in mydir. SRC without /r does output resource.res in the specified directory. |

I will take a look. Maybe /binary is only for .obj files and so doesn't work with /r (which is required for 64 bits).
What did you do from Plato? Did you work via a project? |

Thanks, Paul. Yes, I was working from a project within Plato. The BuildLog contains the following:
SRC.EXE "C:\...\src\resource.rc" /r /BINARY "CheckMate\Win32\resource.res"
I have abbreviated the resource file directory. The project file is in a subdirectory of "C:\...\src\"
But I also tried from a command prompt using the same SRC command above. |

Yes I can confirm that /binary has no effect when used with /r.
I will make a note that it needs fixing. |

This has now been fixed for the next release of the resource compiler SRC. |
